OPTIMIST CLUB
What is Optimist?
It's an association of more than 3,000 Optimist Clubs around the world dedicated to "Bringing Out the Best in Kids." Optimist Clubs conduct positive service projects in their communities aimed at providing a helping hand to youth. With their upbeat attitude, Optimist Club members help empower young people to be the best they can be. Each Optimist Club determines the needs of the young people in its community and conducts programs to meet those needs. Every year, Optimists conduct 65,000 service projects and serve well over six million young people.
Delta Alpha Theta is not just a sorority. We are also a members of Optimist International. As an Optimist club, we do many events involving children and a great number of our philanthropy events are held through the Optimist club! We're proud to have a hand in "bringing out the best in kids!"

Hi, my name is Lexie! I am the President of the DAT Optimist Club, and I am incredibly proud of the work that we do. Philanthropy has always been a huge part of who I am; I love being able to make a difference in someone’s life and give back to the community that’s given me so much. I am passionate about making Optimist a space where everyone feels welcome and excited to help others. For the past several years, I have been committed to making philanthropy engaging and accessible to everyone, regardless of the ability to commit time or money. I’m so grateful I get the chance to lead a team that shares those values and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish this year!
